A new chapter begins for the next generation of Nigerian seafarers.
STOILIC Shipping is proud to announce the official flag-off of a new batch of cadets embarking on their Sea-Time and Certificate of Competency (CoC) training, under the sponsorship of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with Chevron and INTELS.

Empowering the Next Generation of Seafarers

This initiative marks more than just the start of a training cycle — it represents the launch of careers, confidence, and leadership.
Under the STOILIC pathway, cadets will undergo a 12-month onboard vessel placement, gaining vital sea experience while preparing for their CoC examinations. The program is designed to meet international maritime standards and equip participants with the skills, discipline, and professionalism required for success at sea.

As the official training partner, STOILIC Shipping is committed to providing structured mentorship, practical exposure, and a strong foundation for these aspiring officers to thrive in both the maritime and offshore sectors.

Strengthening Local Capacity Through Collaboration

This milestone reflects the shared vision of NCDMB, Chevron, and INTELS — organizations that continue to champion the growth of local capacity and competence within Nigeria’s maritime industry.
Their support ensures that more Nigerian cadets receive the training and global exposure necessary to compete and excel on international waters.

A heartfelt thank you to NCDMB, Chevron, and INTELS for their continued trust and partnership. Together, we are shaping a future where Nigerian seafarers stand shoulder to shoulder with their global peers.

Charting the Course Ahead

At STOILIC Shipping, we believe every voyage begins with a first step — and for these cadets, that step has just begun.
With passion, discipline, and the right training, they are not only preparing for the sea ahead — they are becoming the captains and chief engineers of tomorrow.

Here’s to more milestones, stronger partnerships, and a brighter future for maritime excellence in Nigeria.
